Here's my first attempt at writing on VOX. I'm inspired to write by my awesome sisters Jenny Macc (what would jmaccknit?) and Molly Dolly (Passionfish).
Sisters. I have spent my entire life with sisters (I have four.) Here is just a little glimpse of how my thoughts around my sisters can be exhausting.
I was reading Jenny Macc's blog about her "Great Hair" day. I totally agree with her about how your hair can make or break your day. We have spent years talking, bitching, moaning about our hair. Our teen years were centered around our hair.
So, anyway, I look at the picture of my sisters hair and my first thought is, "Damn! I've never seen her hair look so good." I'm happy for her. Than I look again and think, "Bitch! How come her hair dosen't have any gray, like mine?! It's not fair, I'm 16 months younger!" I'm happy for her, but... do I look as good? It's weird, because I usually never compare myself with another woman, but sisters are not another woman, they are a part of you. However, if someone says, "You are just like your sister", you look at them like, "Are you kidding? I'm nothing like her!" But, we are a lot alike, and not alike at all. I love to see my sisters looking good because I think if they can look that good, than I must look as good, but it can be hard if they look to good, or better than you think you look.
Exhausting isn't it?
Well, here's a picture of the creator of us sisters. Isn't she beautiful?
